Enhancing Business Innovation
ReplyDeleteConsulting material is available at (www.ieeeusa.org/business/consultants). This gives access to the database plus material on how to become a consultant, market yourself, and file for Intellectual Property. This is an extremely valuable networking tool.
Entrepreneurial Activities (www.ieeeusa.org/careers/entrepreneurs) provides access to an online community that provides on-line mentoring, online resources/chats. You can gain access to venture capitalists and others that are willing to help you in your search. For more information you can call Scott Grayson (s.grayson@ieee.org).
What IEEE-USA needs is help in advertising these programs to the greater membership. A discussion then began on why these services are not as highly publicized. Among the reasons are that members are overwhelmed by the amount of information available, people do not think about looking for jobs while they already have one, and people are not aware of new programs as they are released by IEEE-USA.
